1. Who is MeeMix?

MeeMix was created in the name of free legal music on the internet - the next generation of Internet radio. We help you discover music of your taste, music that you will love. All you need to do is choose one of your favorite songs or artists and a playlist based on this input will be automatically built for you. The music will start playing (streaming music) and all you need to do is sit back and breathe in the sounds. MeeMix is based on the most advanced analysis of personal taste in music, which we have created and will continue to develop.

MeeMix is also an online community. We started this magic with a simple idea - to share our love of music with friends, family and anyone else who would listen. Today MeeMix is a home, a virtual meeting point and a place of entertainment for a community of great people just like you - people from all over the world who simply love music.

2. How does MeeMix work?

Birds, like many other types of animals, are divided into subspecies groups by their distinguishing characteristics. Now, let's call these groups "genres" and the characteristics "song parameters". Imagine that you could choose 3 birds that will nest close to your window. Imagine that you could rate any other type of bird flying by from 1 to 6, 6 being 'I love this magnificent creature'. All we do is keep the birds you rated 1 as far away from you as possible, while bringing the ones you loved closer to you.

We match and apply song parameters, the information you provide about yourself, and your song ratings in MeeMix to the smart and unique algorithm we’ve created. The algorithm takes all of these elements into account and provides customized playlists and Internet radio stations for MeeMix members accordingly, based on their own distinctive musical taste.

What we do at MeeMix is different from other music discovery sites because we focus on understanding your personal taste, rather than providing you with a list of songs that are similar to the ones you like. It's content classification for your exclusive taste, not an abstract one.

Our team of musicians and musicologists, together with Dr. Ricardo Tarrasch, are constantly working on optimizing our abilities. It is an enchanting process and we thank you for taking part in the musical journey.

MeeMix Internet Radio is supported by online advertisements. We pay royalties (copyrights) for every song we play and online advertisements give us the means to sustain and develop our project.
