1. How do I upload my music to MeeMix?
To upload your music to MeeMix, you must first open an Artist Page. To do so you must be a MeeMix member. To create an Artist Page or register for a MeeMix account, please click here. Uploading your music to MeeMix is free.
2. What type of files does MeeMix accept?
Only MP3 files with a bitrate of 128kb may be uploaded to the MeeMix music catalogue.
3. I've uploaded my music to MeeMix - how do I know when it's been added to the music catalogue?
Our musicologists review each and every track before integrating new music into the MeeMix catalogue. In addition to classifying the style and sound of your music, the musicologists are also verifying file quality and looking out for offensive content, which does not belong in the Mix. You will receive an email notification once your music has been successfully added to MeeMix. The process may take up to 3 weeks, as we are receiving a great number of requests.
4. What is my music genre supposed to describe?
MeeMix requests that you classify your music type according to the specifications of our music cataloguing system. Your music genre should describe the sounds and style of your music. Choosing a music genre from our list will help us determine who will enjoy listening to your music.
5. My music genre is not on the list – what do I do?
We're sorry your music genre is not represented. Please choose the music genre which most closely describes the sounds and style of your music. Our musicologists will ensure that your music is classified properly and reaches the right listeners.
6. How does MeeMix pay royalties for music played?
MeeMix pays royalties through SoundExchange, ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC. MeeMix does not currently pay royalty fees to artists that are not registered with the aforementioned companies. For more information, please view the terms and conditions agreement for music uploads.
